DPWH completes school building in Tarlac town

TARLAC CITY (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a school building in San Clemente, Tarlac.

Doclong 1st Elementary School’s newest infrastructure has two floors and four classrooms. 

DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil Farala said the facility covers a total area of 437 square meters.

“It is equipped with modern amenities including security cameras and fire safety features. This underscores our dedication in building educational facilities that foster a conducive and secure learning environment,” he added.

Doclong 1st Elementary School teacher Leonora Gabriel expressed her gratitude to the new building.

“The new classrooms will enhance the learning environment. It will undoubtedly motivate students to excel academically,” she pressed.

About P15.87 million was allotted for the infrastructure under the Department of Education’s Basic Education Facilities Fund in the 2023 national budget.

The project also includes a water tank for reliable water supply, a dedicated handwashing area promoting hygiene, and a wheelchair ramp ensuring accessibility. (MJSC/CLJD-PIA 3)
