62K household beneficiaries in Central Luzon set to graduate from 4Ps by year-end

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is expecting that 62,185 household beneficiaries in Central Luzon will graduate from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) by the year’s end.

During the third episode of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas of the Philippine Information Agency, DSWD Regional Director Venus Rebuldela disclosed that 4Ps has successfully assisted a total of 271,974 families. These families have collectively received over P1 billion in support.

“Our goal with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is to improve the living standards of poor families through human capital investment, addressing social, educational, and health conditions,” Rebuldela explained.

She also emphasized that the assistance extends beyond local families.

“We have also supported our brave Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). Currently, 45 OFWs have received appropriate assistance through the program,” she noted.

DSWD remains committed to helping individuals in need, providing medical, educational, and financial aid through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program. So far, 352,329 individuals have benefited from AICS.

Additionally, under the Sustainable Livelihood Program, 2,994 individuals have been given the opportunity to start their own businesses and find employment. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Pampanga)
