The Local Government of Hermosa spearheaded the distribution of milkfish and shrimp fingerlings to aquafarmers affected by recent typhoons in Bataan.
The event took place at the Hermosa MDRRMO Evacuation Center as part of a broader recovery initiative for aquaculture in Central Luzon.
In collaboration with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region 3 and Hermosa’s Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), 54 beneficiaries from various towns in Bataan received support, including 19 recipients from Hermosa.
BFAR Regional Director Wilfredo Cruz, BFAR Provincial Fisheries Officer Harlyn Purzuelo, BFAR Aquaculturist Richard San Diego, MAO Department Head Vincent Mangulabnan, and Agriculture Consultant Paquito Datu were present to assist in the distribution.
Mayor Jopet Inton, thru his Facebook Page, emphasized the importance of collective recovery, stating, “No one will be left behind in our beloved town. Together, we will rise for a brighter future.”
