A 53-year-old man was arrested on Monday, October 21, 2024, in Brgy. San Basilio, Sta. Rita, Pampanga for illegal firearms and drug possession.
The operation, conducted under Republic Act 10591, involved the Sta. Rita Municipal Police Station (MPS), SWAT personnel, and the 1st and 2nd Pampanga Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC). Authorities seized a .38 caliber revolver, a .22 caliber firearm, an M16 rifle replica (airsoft), various ammunition, 6.12 grams of suspected shabu worth P41,616, 9.24 grams of suspected marijuana worth P1,108.80, and drug paraphernalia.
Pampanga Police Director PCOL Jay Dimaandal stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal firearms and drugs.
