Typhoon #LeonPH (#Kong-rey) has intensified into a Severe Tropical Storm as it slowly tracks west-northwestward over the Philippine Sea. With maximum sustained winds now reaching 95 kph and gusts of up to 130 kph, the storm is moving at a speed of 10 kph.
Current forecasts indicate that #LeonPH may strengthen further, potentially reaching Typhoon Category within the next 24 hours as it approaches the eastern waters of #NorthernLuzon. Due to its wide circulation, the storm is expected to bring cloudy skies, rain showers, and gusty winds to eastern parts of #Luzon.
Residents are advised to stay vigilant and be prepared for possible flash floods and landslides in affected areas as heavy rainfall and strong winds continue.
