The newly constructed Magsaysay bridge was opened for motorists entering and exiting the Subic Bay Freeport Zone for a five day dry run starting Wednesday morning, October 30, 2024 until morning of Monday, November 04, 2024.
This is after the five-year contraction of the bridge costing Php 396 million pesos. The project was started on September 27, 2019 when Atty. Wilma Eisma was the Chairman and Administrator of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
The said project took time to work because it was overtaken by the pandemic or the height of Covid 19.
The bridge was blessed by Fr. Renato Roque Villanueva of St. Joseph Parish church, SBMA Director Cynthia Paulino and BCDA Director Rolen Paulino, Sr. and other SBMA officials was present at the opening of the bridge.
