Around 5,000 residents gathered at the St. Nicholas of Tolentino Parish Church in Macabebe on Saturday, enthusiastically supporting the campaign of Patrol Partylist Rep. Jorge “Patrol” Bustos, who is now running for Pampanga’s 4th District congressional seat. Bustos laid out his mission to tackle the region’s longstanding flooding issues by proposing a comprehensive flood control plan, which includes building perimeter dikes along major rivers, establishing “baby dikes” along smaller waterways, and installing pumping stations along streams to manage water levels.

Bustos emphasized that these projects aim to protect communities from constant flood risks that have plagued the town and district for years. He was joined by his son, Masantol Mayor Ton Bustos, aspiring board member Sky Maglanque, as well as local councilors and barangay captains from both Macabebe and Masantol.

The crowd’s positive response marked a strong show of support for his candidacy, as they cheered his commitment to tackling one of Pampanga’s most pressing issues.
