Congressman Jon Lazatin, a mayoral aspirant for the 2025 elections, promised to uphold the “best practices” established by his brother, multi-awarded Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., during his administration.
Speaking at the Christmas lantern lighting ceremony in Barangay Balibago on Monday, November 24, Jon Lazatin emphasized his commitment to sustaining the legacy of good governance and public service.
“Itutuloy po natin ang mga best practices na ginawa ni Mayor Pogi. Sana kung hindi man po natin maigitan, kahit mapantayan lang natin,” Lazatin said, addressing the crowd.
During the event, he also urged barangay officials to revitalize Balibago, one of the city’s busiest barangays. “Make Balibago great again. Ibalik po natin ang sigla at saya sa Balibago,” he added.
The Christmas lantern lighting, a symbol of community and festivity, was graced by Mayor Pogi Lazatin, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, and councilor aspirants Jan Sangil, Nicnok Banola, Cris Cortez, JC Parker Aguas and Alex Indiongco.
