A total of P8.39 million in sales was generated in the 7th CARP Regional Trade Fair of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Central Luzon.
About 114micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who are beneficiaries of the government’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) participated in the trade fair held at the Marque Mall in Angeles City.
DTI OIC-Regional Director Edna Dizon disclosed that this amount is more than last year’s sales at P8.12 million, reflecting the growing market demand and support for locally produced goods.
She stressed that the trade fair stands as a testament to the potential of agrarian reform communities to drive inclusive development and economic progress.
“The success of the 7th CARP Regional Trade Fair reflects the hard work and ingenuity of our agrarian reform beneficiaries. This event not only boosts their livelihood but also highlights the vital role they play in driving economic growth in the region. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the shoppers, buyers, and partners who supported this initiative and made it a resounding success,” Dizon said.
Of the total sales, P7.19 million came from cash sales; P1.07 million from booked sales; and P127,750.00 more sales under negotiation, surpassing the target of P8.3 million sales this year.
Records also showed that Pampanga generated the highest sales among the seven provinces with about P4.32 million.
It was followed by Nueva Ecija with P1.53 million; Bataan – P860,000; Tarlac—P760,000; Zambales—P500,000 ; Bulacan—P330,000; and Aurora—P250,000.
Aside from marketing support through trade fairs and market matching, Dizon said DTI continues to support the livelihood component of the government’s agrarian reform program by providing skills training, product development, shared service facilities, and other entrepreneurial assistance to CARP beneficiaries.
