DPWH Zambales 2nd DEO reclassified from 3rd to 2nd class

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Zambales 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) has been reclassified from a 3rd Class to a 2nd Class district office by virtue of Department Order No. 206, Series of 2024, issued by Secretary Manuel Bonoan on November 6, 2024.

This reclassification is a result of the district office’s national equivalent road length increasing from 89.678 kilometers in October 2023 to 102.525 kilometers in October 2024. Additionally, road widening projects converting two-lane roads to four lanes along Olongapo-Bugallon and San Jose Abad Santos Roads, the conversion of Subic Bypass Road from a local road to a national road, and the integration of Rizal Avenue into the Road and Bridge Information Application (RBIA) contributed to this classification.
