The Clark Museum has unveiled Paskung Kapampangan, a solo exhibit by acclaimed Kapampangan photographer Gerald Gloton, celebrating Pampanga’s vibrant Christmas traditions. The event, organized by Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and Visit Clark Clark Tourism, showcases 21 captivating photographs that highlight the artistry of Pampanga’s lantern-makers and the province’s rich yuletide heritage.
Dignitaries including Thailand Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Tull Traisorat, Pampanga Board Member Cherry Manalo, CDC Tourism Promotions Division Manager Elen Lorenzo, and Pampanga Social Welfare and Development Officer Fe Manarang graced the exhibit’s launch, underscoring its cultural significance.
The exhibit pays tribute to the parul sampernandu (San Fernando lanterns), tracing their evolution from the traditional lubenas processional lanterns to the internationally celebrated.
