The World’s Best Low-Cost Airline reported a load factor exceeding 80% as of Thursday, with bookings expected to surge further as Filipinos finalize their plans to reunite with family and friends for the holidays.
In anticipation of the increased volume of travelers, AirAsia has reactivated its “Always READY sa Pasko’t Bagong Taon” initiative. The airline has also strategically optimized work schedules for essential staff to ensure seamless operations during the peak travel season. Additional ground personnel have been deployed at check-in counters, while customer happiness desks at major hubs have been enhanced for quick assistance. Passengers can also access real-time support through the Ask Bo feature on the AirAsia MOVE app.
“We expect a significant surge in guest volume this week as many of our kababayans make last-minute holiday plans. While we understand the excitement of planning trips, we urge our guests to book flights early as fares typically rise closer to the travel date. It’s also a good time to secure return flights in advance to avoid the post-Christmas rush,” said AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head, First Officer Steve Dailisan.
