AC gov’t delivers P1.3-M worth of relief packs for victims of typhoons in CamSur, Aurora

The Angeles City Government handed over two truckloads of relief goods with a total worth of P1.3 Million to Camarines Sur, and Aurora.

The city government delivered P500,000 worth of goods each for Aurora and Camarines Sur, as part of its broader relief efforts.

Aside from the city government’s relief assistance, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assisstant IV Reina Manuel, also gave their own personal donation for the victims of typhoons.

Mayor Lazatin donated P200,000 worth of essential goods to typhoon-hit places, while Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel also contributed P100,000 worth of goods.

The two separate teams from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), and Environmental Management System-City Engineer’s Office turned over the relief goods to Naga City in Camarines Sur last December 19, 2024, and town of Dinalungan in Aurora last December 21, 2024.

Despite heavy traffic and mechanical problems which brought about delays, the teams still pushed through to make sure that they were able to deliver the city’s food assistance to the residents of Naga City and Dinalungan.

Mayor Lazatin imparts the importance of helping Filipinos in need especially this Christmas season, even those coming from other regions.

“Habang pina-prioritize natin ang kapakanan at kaligtasan ng mga Angeleños sa tuwing may kalamidad tulad ng bagyo, handa at bukas pa rin tayo sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan natin mula sa ibang lugar,” Lazatin said.
