New deputy wing commander Padua joins TOW West

PUERTO PRINCESA, Palawan – Tactical Operations Wing West (TOW West) welcomed its new Deputy Wing Commander, Colonel Augusto N. Padua PAF (NSA), in an assumption of command ceremony at Antonio Bautista Air Base on January 17, 2025.

The event was led by Brigadier General Erick Q. Escarcha PAF, TOW West Wing Commander, who expressed confidence in Padua’s leadership and extensive experience.

“Dedication to duty must go beyond doing our best. We must fulfill what is required with excellence,” said Escarcha, highlighting the critical role of air sentinels in safeguarding national security, especially in the West Philippine Sea.

Before this assignment, Padua served as Deputy Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Education and Training (Deputy A-8), where he enhanced Philippine Air Force education and training programs.

TOW West remains committed to its mission of planning, directing, and coordinating air power to support Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) operations within its jurisdiction.
