Seatrium Subic Shipyard to hire over 1,000 workers in job fair

SUBIC, Zambales- Seatrium Subic Shipyard, Inc. (SSSI), a leading shipyard in the Philippines under Seatrium Group, will be offering over 1,000 job opportunities at the yard’s upcoming job fair on February 5, 2025.

Mr Alexander Caoleng, Human Resources Manager, SSSI, said the company is looking to hire fresh graduates and registered engineers in various fields in ship repair, including specialisations in civil, mechanical, electrical and marine engineering, as well as in naval architecture. 

In addition, SSSI is also looking for skilled workers with expertise in welding, carpentry, driving, and technical capabilities. Office-based and commercial positions are also available.

Interested applicants may submit their résumés with supporting documents and valid IDs at this job fair to be held at the Subic Sports Complex (near Subic Public Market) from 9am to 5pm.

“With this expanded and diverse talent pool, we aim to be a top-notch offshore and marine engineering service provider in the region, trusted by our clients to provide world class end-to-end solutions on time and on budget,” Caoleng said. 

SSSI is a state-of-the-art shipyard specialising in the servicing of offshore vessels with capacities of up to 550,000 DWT. The facility features a dry dock that measures 550 meters in length and 65 meters in width, with an average water depth of nine meters. 

Additionally, it boasts a lifting crane with a capacity ranging from 30 to 1,500 metric tons, the highest lifting capacity available in the country. The yard also includes several fabrication workshops, encompassing a total area of approximately 94,000 square meters.

The yard provides ship repairs and upgrades, fabrication of land-based and offshore/marine structures, oil and gas new builds and conversions, offshore renewables and energies, specialised shipbuilding, technology and new product development works to international ship owners and customers.

SSSI is ISO-certified by ABS- Quality Evaluations for its Management Systems covering Quality Management System (ISO 9001); Environmental Management (ISO 14001); Occupational Health and Safety Management (ISO 45001). It has also received the SOCOTEC Certification for Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001).
