Lazatin brothers launch emergency response Pogi app

ANGELES CITY, Philippines – In a pioneering move for Pampanga, Angeles City launched the “Angeleño Alerto! POGI Emergency App,” a 24/7 mobile application designed to enhance emergency response across the city.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. unveiled the app on Tuesday, January 28, at the Barangay Pandan covered court. The app allows residents to report emergencies and share their exact locations with the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), led by Rodolfo Simeon.

“The safety of every Angeleño is our top priority,” Lazatin said. “This app ensures faster response times because every second counts in saving lives.”

Pampanga 1st District Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II attended the launch, emphasizing the app’s importance in enhancing community safety.

Developed in collaboration with IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and ICT Division Chief Mike Lising, the app features a location-sharing function, enabling responders to pinpoint incidents even when users cannot communicate.

“This technology empowers Angeleños to access help anytime, anywhere,” Calaguas said.

The free app, available for download, connects users directly to the ACDRRMO, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Angeles City Traffic Management team after completing a simple registration.
