The National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) has received a major service donation from SM Development Corporation (SMDC), marking a significant milestone in cultural preservation.
Formally accepted on January 31, the donation covers essential repairs and maintenance of the air conditioning system at the National Museum of Natural History. This initiative ensures a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for visitors, reinforcing SMDC’s commitment to nation-building and cultural heritage.
“We at the NMP look forward to making the most out of this donation, and we hope to achieve the same level of quality of operations that SM produces,” said NMP Director-General Jeremy Barns.
SM Supermalls also plays a crucial role in the partnership by launching strategic promotions across its malls. These efforts will boost awareness and expand the reach of the NMP, ensuring universal access to the country’s cultural heritage.
“Through strategic promotions across our malls, we aim to significantly amplify the reach of the NMP and its mission,” said SM Supermalls Executive Vice President for Marketing Jonjon San Agustin.
SMDC Executive Vice President for Project Development Grace Evangeline Sta. Ana echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the company’s dedication to supporting the arts and enhancing cultural experiences for Filipinos.
This collaboration between SMDC, SM Supermalls, and the NMP highlights a shared commitment to cultural preservation. With improved facilities and enhanced marketing efforts, the National Museum’s treasures will remain accessible to future generations.
