Senate, party-list campaign period begins February 11

With just a week remaining before the official campaign period, candidates vying for Senate and party-list seats are gearing up for their nationwide campaigns. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has set the official campaign period from February 11 to May 10, giving candidates 90 days to reach out to voters ahead of the midterm elections.

Political parties and aspirants are expected to intensify their efforts through rallies, advertisements, and public engagements while adhering to election rules and spending limits set by COMELEC. The regulatory body has also reminded candidates about prohibited acts during the campaign, including vote-buying and premature campaigning before the official start date.

With election season in full swing, COMELEC urges voters to remain vigilant and informed, emphasizing the importance of responsible campaigning and clean elections. The upcoming months will be crucial as candidates present their platforms and vie for public support ahead of the May 12 polls.
