GRBank, BSP lead financial literacy drive

GRBank, in partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), conducted a Financial Literacy Campaign and Piso Caravan at Porac National High School in Pampanga. The initiative aimed to equip senior high school students with essential financial knowledge and skills, empowering them to make informed money management decisions and improve financial inclusion.

Key representatives from GRBank, including Branch Banking Group Head Rebecca O. Dizon, Porac Branch Manager Roselle D. Ronquillo, Teller Ji-an Badian, and Marketing Associate Mark Anthony G. Rongcal, led the campaign. Joining them was BSP Bank Officer IV for the North Luzon Regional Office, Ma. Lourdes I. Laconsay. Faculty members of Porac National High School also took part in the initiative, underscoring the importance of financial education for young Filipinos.

The campaign highlighted fundamental financial concepts, including budgeting, saving, and responsible spending. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, students were encouraged to develop smart financial habits early on. The Piso Caravan component further emphasized the value of saving and investing, reinforcing the significance of financial planning in securing a stable future.

By fostering financial literacy among students, GRBank and BSP reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing economic empowerment and promoting financial stability in local communities. The initiative aligns with the broader goal of strengthening financial inclusion, ensuring that the next generation is well-prepared to navigate the complexities of personal finance.
