MANILA, Philippines – Outgoing Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista officially handed over the reins of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon on Monday, February 24, during a turnover ceremony at the agency’s office in San Juan City.
Dizon, formerly an infrastructure and pandemic recovery czar, is set to lead one of the country’s most crucial government agencies overseeing land, air, and sea transport.
Following the ceremony, Dizon is expected to convene a command conference with heads of the DOTr’s various sectors, attached agencies, and line bureaus to discuss the department’s priorities under his leadership.
