DHVSU breaks ground for Floridablanca campus

FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga—Local leaders led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, and Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony for the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) Floridablanca Campus on March 6.

The three-story facility, with a budget of ₱43.67 million, will rise in Sta. Monica, Floridablanca, and is expected to be completed by December 2025. The project aims to expand access to quality education for Kapampangan youth, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.

“Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. This project is for the future of Pampanga,” Governor Pineda said, urging public support for the initiative.

Floridablanca Mayor Darwin Manalansan expressed gratitude to the provincial government for prioritizing education in the municipality. Joining him at the event were Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan, Vice Mayor Michael Galang, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan.

Officials from DHVSU, including Student Affairs & Services Vice President Dolly Quiambao and Floridablanca Campus Understudy Director Rozen Alfonso, also voiced their support for the expansion, highlighting its role in shaping the province’s future workforce.
