A resident from Barangay Pandan adopted a rescued dog from the Angeles City Dog Pound and Animal Shelter on March 10, 2025, as the local government continues to promote responsible pet ownership.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. is urging Angeleños to adopt rescued dogs and cats from the City Veterinary Office, instead of buying pets.
The adopted dog underwent spaying at the shelter before being handed over to its new owner, ensuring its welfare and health.
To support pet owners, the city provides free spaying, neutering, and anti-rabies vaccination programs, helping control the stray animal population.
Local officials say the initiative aims to reduce pet abandonment while ensuring a safe and healthy environment for animals and residents alike.
The city government continues to strengthen its animal welfare programs, encouraging more residents to adopt, not shop.
