CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga – Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera underscored the importance of human firefighting skills and private sector involvement in preventing large-scale fire incidents in the Philippines.
Speaking at the opening of the 2025 National Fire Olympics on March 25 at the Clark Parade Grounds, Devanadera emphasized that Filipino firefighters, despite limited access to advanced equipment, have consistently managed to contain fires through skill, dedication, and physical endurance.
The former DILG undersecretary and League of Municipalities of the Philippines president commended the country’s firefighters for their resilience and commitment, urging greater collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance fire prevention efforts nationwide.
