MANILA, Philippines – Former Solicitor General Estelito Mendoza, who served under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., has passed away, the Philippine National Bank (PNB) confirmed on Wednesday, March 26. He was 94.
Mendoza, a prominent legal figure, played a key role in defending the Marcos administration’s policies and was known for handling high-profile cases even after his tenure in government. Beyond his legal career, he also served as governor of Pampanga and was a director of PNB since January 1, 2009, contributing to the bank’s leadership for over a decade.
