ACPO helps ‘suicidal’ man

The Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) reached out to a “depressed man” on Saturday who almost ended his life at the Abacan Bridge.

In a report sent by Police Captain Agnes B. Nolasco, ACPO PIO, she identified the individual as Jessie Santos, 40 years old, of 1stStreet, Interior, Brgy. Marisol, Angeles City. Santos was seen sitting at the railing of the Abacan Bridge around 2:20pm on Saturday.

A concerned citizen reported Santos to Police Assistance Desk Pat Dale Robert Leonardo who dispatched lawmen to the bridge. Santos was prevented from jumping under the bridge.

Santos also reportedly had a heated argument with his live-in partner identified as Joana Mae Asis which led to their separation.

Police Station 6 led by PMajor Ronald Macalino went to Santos’ residence and gave assorted grocery items, sacks of rice and other assistance to the latter. They also provided medical assistance because Santos is suffering from depression.

ACPO personnel are currently monitoring Santos and his family and decided to include them to the “Rektang Konek, Adopt A Family Program” of the Police Regional Office 3.
