MARIVELES, Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) recognized top-performing enterprises, workers and government partners for their contributions to the growth and development of the Freeport during the 12th FAB Stakeholders’ Night held Aug. 25 at the AFAB Auditorium here.
The ceremony covered the 2024 and 2025 award cycles, bringing together enterprises, workers and institutions whose performance and support contributed to the continued operations and development of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
In his opening remarks, AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman highlighted the Freeport’s progress in recent years, including efforts to improve infrastructure, support enterprise expansion, attract investments and strengthen the business environment for enterprises operating within FAB.
Pangandaman also underscored AFAB’s contribution to the National Government, citing its ₱138-million dividend remittance for 2026, which was formally recognized during the 2026 GOCC Day at Malacañang on July 8, 2026. The Bureau of the Treasury recorded the amount as AFAB’s 2026 dividend remittance, reflecting the Freeport’s sustained financial performance and its contribution to the country’s economic development.
Leading the roster of awardees was Perpetual Prime Mfg. Inc. (PPMI), which was named Overall Best FAB Enterprise for both 2024 and 2025.
PPMI also placed first in the Medium Enterprise category of the Top Exporter and Top Employer awards in both years, reflecting its contribution to export performance and employment generation in the Freeport.
Mitsumi Philippines, Inc. and Essilor Manufacturing Philippines, Inc. likewise ranked among the Top Three Overall Best FAB Enterprises in both award cycles.
Also receiving recognition was AboitizPower’s private limited partnership, GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD), which won first place in the Top Community Building Champion Award. The recognition highlighted GNDP’s community initiatives and programs supporting communities within and around the Freeport.
The Top Exporter Award recognized enterprises for their export performance, while the Top Employer Award highlighted companies that made significant contributions to employment within FAB. The Top Community Building Champion Award, meanwhile, recognized enterprises for community-focused programs and initiatives.
In his closing remark, AFAB Group Head, Office of the Administrator Atty. Percival B. Peralta said the awards underscore the role of private enterprises in generating employment, sustaining economic activity and supporting community development in Mariveles and Bataan.
The Authority also conferred the FABnership Award on government institutions that have worked closely with AFAB in providing essential services and addressing the needs of enterprises and other stakeholders. The 2024 and 2025 awardees included partners from the labor, trade and government oversight sectors.
The ceremony also paid tribute to members of the Freeport workforce. Seven individuals received the Exemplary FAB Workers Award, while five employees were honored with the FAB Loyalty Award for decades of service to their respective organizations.
The annual Stakeholders’ Night brought together representatives from FAB enterprises and workers, government agencies, labor organizations, industry groups and the media, reflecting the broad network of stakeholders contributing to the Freeport’s continued operations and development.
