TARLAC CITY — Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held a three-day static display and military fair at SM City Tarlac as the nation celebrates the 121st anniversary of the declaration of Philippine independence.
“This activity aims to sustain and maintain our high trust rating and inculcate to the hearts and minds of the general public that we are the protector of the people and state and their partner for peace and development,” 1st Civil Relations Group Commander Lieutenant Colonel Reymondo Delgado said.
Apart from AFP, it also featured an exhibit from the Philippine National Police.
“We bring AFP and other agencies of government closer to the public while igniting sense of patriotism and to showcase the war-fighting and capabilities of the AFP and other agencies of the government involved in safety and security,” Delgado stressed.
“Also, we would like to promote and highlight AFP’s importance on the history of our independence and to ask involvement and support from the public, other sectors of society specifically the youth in this kind of activity,” he added.
