MAGALANG, Pampanga — Provincial Government of Pampanga turned over on Tuesday a Php17.79 million Agripreneurship building inside Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU).
Governor Lilia G. Pineda said the addition of this new building is timely to accommodate the influx of students as a result of the free tuition law.
“I told Commission on Higher Education Officer-In-Charge Prospero de Vera that we have to add more classrooms to our state universities and colleges for us to accommodate those who want to study because of the free tuition law,” she said.
Aside from the building, Pineda also committed to donate additional facilities to complement the new building as well as a service vehicle for PSAU faculty.
For his part, President Honorio Soriano Jr thanked the provincial government for the aid as this will boost PSAU’s efforts to achieve entrepreneurial agriculture as a driver for inclusive economic growth in the communities.
“We have to make agriculture as an enterprise. It should be a business and that is why we are making agriculture as an active economic driver to achieve inclusive growth in rural communities,” he added.
