LUBAO, Pampanga – All roads lead to Pradera Verde in Barangay Prado
Siongco here for the 6th Lubao International Balloon and Music
Festival (LIBMF).
The annual event at the 250-hectare Pradera Verde is slated from April
5 to 7, organizers said.
LIBMF event chairman Noel Castro said there will 31 hot air balloons
this year and 18 of which are from international countries. He added
that there will 10 special shaped balloons.
Castro said that for the first time there will a Filipino pilot.
“All of our 10 special shaped balloons are new and they will be seen
here for the first time. We will take you above and beyond” he added
during the press conference on March 9.
The performers for the three-day event are Al James, This Band, Juan
Karlos, I Belong to the Zoo, Ben and Ben, Shanti Dope, December
Avenue, and Gloc9. Top artists like Moira and Bamboo, will also be
part of this year’s event.
Rambo Ortega, LIBMF Head Organizer, said international artist
Apl.De.Ap will perform on April 6.
“Apl.De.AP is excited to perform after seeing the videos of the
concerts,” he added.
Ortega disclosed that ticket prices are P350 each. They will also sell
P500 ticket for those who want to have closer look of the morning
flights of the hot balloons.
Other activities during the day are Rallycross, Off Road, Ultralight,
Motoparagliding, Motocross, and Zookobia. (
