Archdiocese of Manila to allow ‘simple’ baptism, wedding after ECQ

In preparation for the ‘second wave of pandemic’, the Archdiocese of Manila said it will allow the conduct of simple weddings and baptisms after the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Apostolic Administrator Bishop Broderick Pabillo said a new set of guidelines for religious services will be followed to ensure social distancing.

Considering June as wedding month, allowed to join the bride and groom are one set of sponsors and the immediate family.

On baptism, the protocol states only the parents and one set of godparents will be allowed per child.

The conduct of funeral masses is limited to immediate family members only.

Mass gatherings remain prohibited in areas under ECQ and general community quarantine.
