CAPITOL – A local branch of the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) will soon open at the new building of the Bataan Capitol called “The Bunker.”
This was revealed on Friday by Bataan Governor Abet Garcia during his speech at the “Parangal sa mga Beterano” at the Capitol Grounds where former Secretary of Defense, Gilbert Teodoro was guest of honor.
“Inaprubahan na po ni PVAO Administrator Ernesto Carolina ang pagkakaroon ng PVAO office dito po sa bubuksang one stop shop sa ating
bagong Kapitolyo,” Garcia said.
The provincial government of Bataan is set to operate the country’s first one-stop shop connecting all the local government units and national agencies all in one location.
“This will be the Philippines’ 1st one stop shop that will connect all agencies from national to local to facilitate business permits and all other important documents needed by our investors and businessmen,” Garcia added.
The province’s modernization on business permit processing etc.will be located at the Bataan Government Center and Business Hub being presently constructed at the Bataan Capitol as part of the rehabilitation of the iconic building.
The compound will also house business process outsourcing centers, restaurants hotels and other business establishments. –Mhike R. Cigaral
