Bataan Freeport execs join South Korea trade mission

MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda leads the investment promotion agency’s trade mission in South Korea to further promote the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in the global market, specifically in Asia.

During the business to business promotion meetings, Chairman Pineda, along with the marketing team of the AFAB, presented the superior advantages of locating in the FAB. Among the discussed opportunities are the infrastructure development projects that are open for public-private partnership, as well as available areas for establishment of production plants.

The FAB is the emerging fashion manufacturing hub of the Philippines, as it possesses a budding cluster of companies producing high-end brands of garments, apparel, shoes and accessories, like bags, jewelries, among others. Its vision is to be the Freeport of choice in the country by 2020, becoming a center of trade, innovation and sustainable development in Asia and promoting work-life balance, global competitiveness and environmental protection. –MHIKE R.
