MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan, once again, has pledged full support to the annual festivities of the Municipal Government of Mariveles as part of the celebration of the 72ndLiberation Day of the town.
Headed by AFAB Chairman and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda, the employees of the Authority are set to join the civic parade on February 06 (Monday) to witness the official opening of the month-long celebration.
“The AFAB fully supports the activities of the local government of Mariveles, which is the home of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB). We are glad to be part of the celebration,” Chairman Pineda said.
“The Municipal Government of Mariveles always backs all the initiatives of the AFAB. It is now our turn to give back to the town. The AFAB will be conducting a one-day medical mission as part of the annual celebration,” the chairman added.
The AFAB will be conducting a one-day medical check up for indigents and eye consultation for senior citizens on February 11 (Saturday). The event tagged as “FAB Health Day” is organized in cooperation with Essilor Manufacturing Phi ls., Inc, manufacturer of ophthalmic frames, lenses, and sunglass lenses, Medicard Philippines, Inc, and Mariveles Health Office.
About 100 eyeglasses will be given for free to the beneficiaries. The indigents will also receive free medicines. The beneficiaries will be chosen on a first come per serve basis.
The medical check up and eye care consultation will start at 8am in the morning at the Mariveles People’s Park in Brgy. Poblacion.
