BALANGA CITY — Bataan launched an app that will serve as an online registration portal for tourists as well as personal guide when traveling around the province.
Visitor Information and Travel Assistant (VIS.I.T.A) will help regulate the entry and mobility of tourists using a QR coded tourist pass (QTP) not only during the pandemic but in the better normal.
“It also aims to collect data for planning purposes not only for the benefit of the Provincial Tourism Office but for the individual establishments as well,” Provincial Tourism Officer Alicia Pizarro said.
She encourages resorts and accommodation establishments to apply for accreditation to enjoy several perks.
These include being priority offering to inquiries and inclusion in different marketing collaterals of the provincial government and Department of Tourism.
Tourists who are planning to visit can now register through www.visita.beholdbataan.ph to generate their QTPs.
Implementation and scanning of Bataan VIS.I.T.A QTPs will start on June 16.
