Bataan PPO’s anti-crime drive nets 292

Two hundred ninety two law violators were apprehended in Bataan Police’s Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations or SACLEO covering the period of January 6-30, 2021.

Acting Provincial Director Bataan PNP Police Col. Joel Tampis told newsmen that seventy two drug suspects were nabbed in different anti-illegal drug operations conducted by Abucay, Balanga, Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Limay, Mariveles, Morong, Orani, Orion, Pilar and Samal.

The police operations resulted to the confiscation from the suspects of 147 sachets of illegal drugs, with estimated weight of more or less 70 grams of shabu and 11 grams of marijuana. They were brought to Bataan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination.

Meanwhile, one hundred thirty seven were arrested in different anti-illegal gambling operations and confiscated bet money amounting to sixty thousand three hundred seventy five pesos (PHP 60,375.00).

Likewise, sixty two operations were also conducted against wanted persons that resulted to the arrest of seventy nine individuals. Moreover, five loose firearms were recovered and confiscated by Abucay, Mariveles, Limay and Orani municipal police stations.

All the arrested suspects are presently detained at the custodial facility of the arresting units while appropriate criminal charges against them were already filed in court.

“In the midst of Covid-19 Pandemic Bataan Police remains zealous and unrelenting in all its anti-crime drive following the marching order of the Regional Director of PRO3, Police Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon,” PD Tampis said.
