ORANI, Bataan – Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine B. Roman is urging job seekers to take advantage of the job opportunities in the government’s infrastructure projects.
“There are now more opportunities for job seekers and OFWs coming home from abroad in landing jobs here at home, thanks to the government’s new online jobs portal that currently has over 11,000 employment opportunities. These jobs were culled from the government’s infrastructure program,” Roman told her followers on Facebook.
Roman added that infrastructure is key in developing an economically robust society.
“This is great news for Filipinos, especially for our beloved OFWs who plan to come home soon!,” she said.
On Tuesday, the country’s celebration of 120th anniversary of Independence Day, 125,000 jobs are at stake on the Department of Labor’s (DOLE) job fairs series nationwide.
It will be held on June 12 and 15 in 21 venues across the Philippines. These job fairs will include both local and overseas employment opportunities.
“To our new graduates, those in search of jobs, and even those who are underemployed, this could be a great opportunity for you to find the job that is right for you,” Roman said.
