BCDA among top-performing gov’t agencies rated by business executives

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) debuted at 12th place in the 2019 Makati Business Club’s (MBC) Executive Outlook Survey. BCDA received a 77.1 percent satisfaction rating for its performance in the second semester survey, just 0.7 percent shy of the top 10.

The survey was participated by 100 executives from 100 companies, who were asked to rate whether they were satisfied or not with the performances of 69 government agencies in the past year (July 2018 to June 2019).

Included in the top 10 are the National Economic and Development Authority (84.5%) and the Department of Finance (80.4%), BCDA’s partner agencies in the implementation of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Build Build Build Infrastructure Program.

“MBC’s survey results inspire us more to deliver our projects well and contribute to national growth. The trust and support of the business sector have always been crucial in the sustainability of our projects,” BCDA President and CEO Vince Dizon said.

Dizon added that the survey results underscore the hard work that the current government puts in providing Filipinos with reliable and people-oriented programs and projects.

BCDA is currently developing the 9,450-hectare New Clark City, the first smart, green, and resilient city in the Philippines, and a new passenger terminal at the Clark International Airport envisioned to be the next global gateway in Asia.

MBC Executive Director Coco Alcuaz said in a previous statement that the survey “provides a snapshot of business sector’s perception on the current government leadership and public service.” MBC comprises of almost 400 companies, considered to be the largest and most dynamic corporations in the country.
