Dubbed as “Karoling para sa mga Katutubo”, a concert for a cause will bring ‘The Bukas Palad Music Ministry’ to Holy Angel University Theatre on the afternoon of December 15, 2018.
In partnership with Tanging Yaman Foundation and the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga, Empower Philippines, a non-profit charitable organization headed by Dr. Jude Gerard Verzosa said the event is a fund raising activity that will make way for building a Kindergarten classroom for Tagbanua children.
The Bukas Palad Ministry is known to be one of the country’s best contemporary worship group. It is famous for its original religious music such as “I Will Sing Forever”, “Tinapay ng Buhay”, “Sa’Yo Lamang”,“Take and Receive”, “I Seek You For I Thirst”, “Aba Ginoong Maria”, and “Anima Christi”.
The group has performed overseas and across the country for numerous solo concerts. Moreover, the ministry is fond of carrying out benefit concerts, some of these includes “Ang diwa ng sabsaban ni Hesus: Pasko ng Pag-ibig (2014)” conducted for renovation of San Diego de Alcala Parish and funding of Polo Bethlehem Club Christmas projects and activities in Valenzuela City; In 2017, “A Life of Service and Love” wherein proceeds from the event supported beneficiaries of St. Theresa’s College Quezon City (STCQC) Class 1993, along with convents and other charitable group; “Bearer of Light” in 2018 conducted in Bacolor, Pampanga as a support for the Vicariate Youth Ministry of the Vicariate of St. John Mary Vianney; and “Pananagutan” in St. Joseph the Worker Parish. –Camille Aquino / AUF Intern
