Dried marijuana leaves with street value of P82,500 were confiscated from four drug suspects during separate buy bust operations in Baliwag and Guiguinto towns on Tuesday .
The suspects were subjected to a joint operations against illegal drugs conducted by the Regional Drug Enforcement (RDEU) Unit 3, Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU); Guigunto and Baliuag Municipal Police Stations.
Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., Bulacan police director, said that Baliuag Police apprehended Anatolio Chiong alias “Oliot,”, 20 years old, single, jobless, a resident of Calderon St. Brgy. Subic, Baliuag who was entrapped in Barangay Poblacion in the same town around 4:45pm on Tuesday and yielded 500 grams of dried marijuana leaves.
Baliuag chief of police Supt. Froilan Uy said, suspect Chiong is the alleged source of dried marijuana leaves in Baliwag.
In Guiguinto town, 250 grams of dried marijuana leaves were confiscated from three suspected marijuana pushers identified by Supt. Orlando Castil Jr, Guiguinto Police chief as Marcos Jose, Mark Jay de Lara and Arbhincent Robiso in a drug sting around 9:30 pm in Barangay Santa Rita.
The three suspects are the alleged supplier of dried marijuana leaves in Guiguinto and adjacent towns.
Castil said that the street value of dried marijuana leaves is P110 per gram. –ELOISA SILVERIO
