Capitol gives milk, multivitamins to undernourished kids

The provincial government distributed milk and multivitamin supplements to undernourished children in Pampanga province.

The said activity is being facilitated by the Provincial Nutrition Committee (PNC), headed by Elaine Tinambunan. It aims to improve the growth development, boost the immune system, and increase appetite of the children aged three and above.

According to Tinambunan, the distribution is part and a continuation of this year’s celebration of Nutrition Month with the theme “Batang Pinoy, Sana Tall… Iwas Stunting, Sama All!

Bale makatatanggap ng gatas at bitamina ang mga bata isang beses kada buwan sa loob ng anim na buwan,” she said.

To date, two packs of 1.2 kilogram of fortified powdered milk and five bottles of 60 milliliter multivitamins with iron and Buclizine syrup were rolled out to each of 207 beneficiaries in various barangays in the municipality of Bacolor.

Aside from this, the Rotary Club Cluster 4A also provided the beneficiaries kits that contain soap, alcohol, face shield, and other COVID-19 protective equipment.
