CDC offers free public Wi-Fi in Clark

CLARK FREEPORT — Connectivity and communications will now be even better in this Freeport as Clark Development Corporation (CDC) partners with PLDT/Smart to offer free public Wireless-Fidelity (Wi-Fi) network here.

Through a memorandum of agreement between CDC and PLDT/Smart, free public Wi-Fi connection will be made available in the Clark Parade Grounds and other nearby areas including One-Stop-Shop, Clark Polytechnic, and Bus/Jeep Terminal.

CDC President Noel F. Manankil said that the project is part of the primary programs of CDC on its mission to provide better and quality services to its constituents.

“Creating seamless and connected environment in Clark has always been our aim to better serve our stakeholders,” he said.

Manankil added that the installation of the free Wi-Fi will not only complement the developments here but it is also seen beneficial in obtaining its obejectives.

“The free public Wi-Fi augurs well towards attaining that objective where employees, residents, job applicants, tourists and many others would benefit,” Manankil furthered.

Recently, PLDT/Smart also launched the country’s first 5G network here, making this Freeport the first 5G City in the country.

The launching of the new network is seen to make infrastructure inside this Freeport more reliable and technology-focused hub.

Accordingly, the latest wireless telecommunication platform is also expected to benefit not just the businesses here but also other industries in the country.
