Widus Foundation donates clean water to Sapangbato

Widus Foundation Inc. (WFI), Widus Hotel and Casino’s charity arm, donated gallons of potable water to the residents of Sapangbato on Wednesday, November 14 at the district’s youth and sports center.

The turnover ceremony was led by WFI Executive Director Neki Liwanag who expressed her gladness for the opportunity given to the foundation in assisting the locals who have been experiencing water crisis since February.

“We are always pleased to extend our resources and support especially to our neighboring barangays. We hope that our simple efforts can help alleviate the water necessity of the residents here,” Liwanag said.

The health project which aims to provide clean water to the community gave one unit of five-gallon water container to 100 indigent families affected by the Sapangbato water crisis.

Its community church, Holy Cross Parish Church, also got 10 units of 55-gallon water barrel to which its parish priest Elmer Salonga expressed his gratitude to the foundation for its generosity.

“We are very thankful to Widus because they are always quick to extend a helping hand whenever we ask for their support. We hope this wouldn’t be the last,” Salonga cited.

Liwanag also assured the locals that WFI will continuously create, support, and sustain projects for the benefit of the community in the long run.
