CLARK FREEPORT – Clark Development Corporation (CDC) was recently granted the certification for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 for its compliance on quality management system.
AJA Registrars, an independent third party registrar and certification body operating from a global network of offices offering third party registration and training services at a local level, issued the said certification which covers the Provision of Business Development, Business Enhancement and Zone Management Services.
The issuance of the certification verifies the conformity of CDC to its standardized procedure and ensures that CDC follows the ISO standard process.
ISO 9001:2015 is the latest version of ISO 9001 which is a globally recognized standard on quality management which acknowledges organization who were able to provide effective customer and regulatory services, following a quality management system.
The certification earned by CDC demonstrates its compliance to the mandate of Government Quality Management Committee which requires all national government agencies and government owned or controlled corporations (GOCCs) to transition their quality management systems to ISO 9001: 2015.
Accordingly, CDC continuously improves the quality of service it renders to its customers as a support to the government mandate under Executive Order No. 605—institutionalizing the structure, mechanism and standards to implement quality management program.
Last January, CDC also passed the second surveillance audit on quality management system and was recertified on ISO 9001: 2008. The assessment determined the efficiency and quality services rendered by the state-owned firm to its stakeholders.
