Leading Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific commenced operation of flights between Manila and Siargao on December 17, 2017. Initially on commercial run until March 24, 2018, CEB will fly direct between Manila and Siargao six times weekly (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
To mark the launch of the new route, the first passengers who checked-in for the inaugural Manila-Siargao and the return Siargao-Manila flights received a special gift from Cebu Pacific. In Manila, the first passenger who checked-in for the Manila-Siargao flight, Kassandra “Kim” Gequillana (in photo, standing center) was awarded by Charo Logarta Lagamon, Corporate Communications Director of Cebu Pacific and Department of Tourism Regional Director Ana Nuguid (flanking Gequillana).
Siargao, regarded as the surfing capital of the Philippines, is a hidden gem that is the perfect destination for backpackers and adventure enthusiasts. Iconic surfing hotspots include Cloud 9 that has the reputation as the best surfing break in the Philippines. Non-surfers, on the other hand, can enjoy idyllic white sand beaches on neighboring Guyam, Daku and Naked Islands.
