CL LGUs’ services get high trust ratings

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Business establishments in Central Luzon have expressed high confidence in their respective local government units (LGUs) in terms of frontline services and overall processing of their business permits, as shown in the average 8.07 out of 10.

These figures were based on the results of the 2017 Customer Experience Survey conducted by the National Competitiveness Council and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

“It was participated in by 1,730 respondents from 173 LGUs nationwide, representing business establishments that have applied for new business permits or renewed their business permits this year,” DTI Regional Director Judith Angeles disclosed.

In Central Luzon, Balanga City garnered the highest customer satisfaction rating with 9.28 out of 10. This was followed by Gapan City with 8.82 satisfaction rating.

Moreover, Cabanatuan City earned a score of 8.73 while Mabalacat City scored 8.24.

Others who got high ratings include Tarlac City with 8.07; City of San Fernando– 7.16; and Angeles City – 6.24.

At the national level, 97% or a total of 1,678 respondents said they are satisfied with their local governments.

Of this number, 71% said that they were able to secure their permits within two days while 29% said it took them more than two days to process their business permits.

In addition, 45% of the respondents said that there were a maximum of three procedures in the business permit renewal process while 55% said that they went to more than three procedures during their transactions with the LGUs. –Marie Joy L. Simpao
