Clark airport and the AC mayoralty race

It seems that Clark International Airport will post the unprecedented 2.5 million passengers by year end, a big achievement for OIC CIAC Chief Alexander Cauguiran who earlier expressed his intention to run for the 2019 mayoralty race in Angeles City.

Cuguiran who has been at the forefront in the development of Clark airport has expressed his intention to run for the mayoralty race in Angeles City in next year’s midterm elections.

Under his leadership, the Clark airport has already recorded 1.5 million passengers from January to August 8 this year and is on its way of achieving the 2.5 million mark which is first in the history of the former US facility.

Give it all to Cauguiran. Because of the hard work and dedication of Cauguiran since he assumed the CIAC presidency in 2016, his first order was to attract more airlines to established new routes for domestic and international flights. Now, Clark airport has 462 flights per week in just two and half years and more destinations are expected to be launched by airlines currently operating at the airport.

An average of 8.000 passengers daily used the Clark airport avoiding the traffic congestion in Metro Manila.

The development of the airport was also attributed to the support of President Rodrigo Duterte and the leadership of Transportation Secretary Art Tugade who made it all possible. Not to mention the support of Bases Conversion Development Authority Chief Vince Dizon who also pushed for the development of a new Passenger Terminal for Clark airport which is expected to be completed by 2022.

The new terminal will have the capacity of 8 million passengers per annum aside from the existing 4.2 million passengers per annum. The new development will further attract more airlines to launch flights especially direct flights to the United States.

I wish President Alex all the best in his endeavor and wish him good luck to his next mission for Angeles City.
Kudos!
