Clark airport complex to realize full potential with new CIAC head

The Clark International Airport Corp. on Friday said it welcomes the recent appointment of Arrey Ancheta Perez as its new president and chief executive officer who will lead the agency in realizing the full potential of the Clark Civil Aviation Complex.

Perez is the Senior Vice President for Corporate Services of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, CIAC’s parent company, who was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on September 14, replacing officer-in-charge Nancy Paglinawan to head the government aviation firm.

In a statement, CIAC said Perez’s corporate skills, business acumen and inclusive leadership are qualities the national government needs in realizing the full potential of the Clark aviation complex surrounding the airport.

He is a certified public accountant and holds a post-graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines, Master’s degree in Public Administration, and completed an executive training program on Public-Private Partnerships at the Harvard Kennedy School.

Perez’s expertise at the BCDA and proven track record of landmark accomplishments of almost two decades will surely steer the aviation complex surrounding the Clark airport as a global name in investments, logistics and tourism in the Asia-Pacific region, the statement said.

As senior official of the BCDA, Perez was involved in the master planning of former military base lands into economic hubs, including Bonifacio Global City, Mckinley Hills, Newport City, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway.

He directly managed world-class sports facilities at the New Clark City, and promoted John Hay in Baguio and Poro Point in La Union as primary eco-tourism hubs.

Perez was also involved in helping transform the Clark International Airport as the country’s alternative gateway.

CIAC is the government firm tasked to develop the Clark Civil Aviation Complex, home to the privately-run Clark International Airport, as well as the mixed-use business district Clark Global City, and several locators in cargo and aviation-related businesses.
