Atty. William B. Balayo, the district collector of Bureau of Customs Port of Limay, Bataan, has been recently commended by the Commission on Audit (COA) Central Luzon office for his outstanding leadership and achievements.
On January 12, 2023, COA Central Luzon publicly acknowledged Balayo’s efforts in attaining and exceeding the annual collection target for 2022, which resulted in the Port of Limay’s highest actual collection in the past six years.
According to the COA, the Port of Limay recorded a collection of more than P78 billion, surpassing its original target of P53 billion.
This significant achievement is a testament to Balayo’s commitment to his job and his leadership skills in overseeing the Port’s operations.
To ensure that this level of success continues, COA recommends that the Port of Limay’s management continue to implement existing controls and procedures on collection, while also exploring new strategies to improve revenue generation.
Balayo said this recognition by COA Central Luzon is a source of pride not only for him but also for the entire Port of Limay community. It demonstrates that hard work and dedication can lead to success and is an inspiration to others who strive to make a positive impact in their respective fields.
Overall, his colleagues said the commendation received by Atty. William B. Balayo serves as a testament to the importance of public service and the impact it can have on communities.
“It is a proud moment for the BOC Port of Limay, and the COA’s recognition is a testament to our exceptional leadership and dedication of our team to achieve excellence in public service,” Balayo told the local press.
