CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Police made rounds Wednesday in different public markets in Central Luzon to inspect their compliance to Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) rules.
Police Regional Director PBGen. Rhodel Sermonia said the conduct of inspection is in line with the directives of President Rodrigo Duterte and Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año.
“We were tasked by the President and Secretary to strictly implement ECQ particularly social distancing, wearing of face masks and monitoring of prices of essential commodities,” he shared.
“We are tripling our efforts to guarantee that no single guideline in the ECQ is missed and we are appealing again to the public to help us by refraining from going out of their houses to prevent the continuous spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19),” Sermonia added.
ECQ, meant to curb the rising number of cases of COVID-19, will be implemented in the entire Luzon from March 17 to April 30.
