COVID-19 new recoveries at 90, highest in single-day record

The Department of Health has reported 90 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) recoveries, the highest single-day record since April 16.

Now at 1,214 who recuperated from the viral disease, the health department said it will fast track the conduct of mass testing in all accredited testing centers in the country after receiving thousands of test kits from other countries. 

The World Health Organization also recommends quick implementation of mass testing among asymptomatic individuals to contain the spread of the deadly virus. 

Since December 2019, COVID-19 has infected more than 3.4 million people all over the world.
